Laboratory Technician Microfabrication

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication and characterization of microfluidic devices for organ-on-a-chip application.
  • Perform quality tests on the microfluidic devices.
  • Develop electronic/3D printed prototypes for microfluidic systems.
  • Perform experiments with fluidic setup as requested or assigned.
  • Prepare reports and analyse data.
  • Manage inventory and supplies.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations, including wearing proper protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electronic engineering.
  • Knowledge in CAD design (2D and 3D) and 3D printing.
  • Knowledge in electronics prototyping for sensor development and integration.
  • Basic knowledge in microfluidics and microfabrication.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Microscopy, profilometer, SEM, oxygen plasma, Spin coater is appreciated.
  • Fast learner, able to work independently in a highly multi-disciplinary environment.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity or experience with cleanroom practices and microfabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with programming.
  • Familiarity with lab automation.
  • Familiarity with microfluidic pump development
